Blocking calls, motorola razr v3

Problem:

I have an annoying customer that has gotten ahold of my cell phone number and I want to block his call. Is there a way within the cell phone I can block this number?

Solution:

Yes, sort of: go to Settings->Security->Enter lock code here if you've created one(otherwise ignore this step)->Limit Use->Restrict Incoming CallsFrom this step, you'll have to choose to restrict incoming calls from anyone NOT in your Contacts . You'll still get the voicemails and notifications of who called, but unwanted callers will go right to voicemail and you can call them back whenever you are ready.
Add them to your address book, save them to the phone (NOT the SIM), and set their ring type to "Silent" - they'll still call, but your phone won't ring.Well, it won't ring if it's on normal ring settings. If you have the phone set to vibrate for some reason the ring type seems to be ignored and it will vibrate anyway.
Getting restricted calls is there any way to block or set the phone to recognize the restricted/unwanted calls?
If you go to security on settings you can block incoming or out going calls only, Im pretty sure that you can't block one person calling you.

STORED NAME NOT SHOWING WHEN INCOMING CALL

Problem:

WHEN NAME AND NUMBER ARE STORED ON THE PHONE, WHEN YOU CALL SOME ONE YOU SEE THE NAME SHOWING, BUT WHEN THEY CALL, YOU ONLY SEE THE NUMBER OF THE PERSON AND NOT THE NAME LISTED IN THE PHONE. IF YOU SET THE PICTURE ID ENTRY WHEN THE PERSON CALL YOU DONT SEE IT EITHER. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

seing that you do have some great answeres there is on other thing to look at see if your friends id is set o thier account and yours in the billing system some times it is not provisiond and needs to be set by your carrier run in to this alot at work its more common than people think
You have to make sure the area code is included in the phone number setting. Also when calling out you must include the area code or the picture and name will NOT show up. Let me know if this works.
Do you have the names in your phone programmed with the area code, or just the number. Also, if you do have the area code in there, is it programmed with a 1 before it? the number you see when you get an incoming call, is the number that should be stored.Assuming you do have everything right, contact the support for your mobile network to assist you, or the shop that sold you the phone and ask if theres an option to enable/disable that option.

RAZR V3 DEAD SCREEN

Problem:

Hello, the screen on my razer is dead all of a sudden. The keypad works but both screens show nothing at all on them.The phone appears to work as it rings and I can answer the phone.If the screens got "burned" how can that happen at once for both of them?I read previous solution regarding the moisture dots and they appear white.Please help

Solution:

This worked for me - I had to do it several times because I never figured out whether to start with the phone "off" or "on".Press # * and the "end call (red)" buttons simultaneously and hold for several sections. Then power phone off and back on. I read this was the equivalent of "safe mode" booting for a RAZR. My phone has performed flawlessly since I did this on the 6th of February!
You might have a problem with the cables in the top (LCD) part of the phone, if you feel comfortable disassembling go here, you might just have a loose connection or corrosion the the cable ends.

No dude, the problem is with Motorola. Vista is what it is. Motorola is supposed to make their software compatible. What are you a politician? My Dell computer didnt work when i first installed Vista, but they finally came out with a compatible driver. Many of us have already upgraded to Vista and going back may not be an option.

I have the phone to put music into itunes you need to go to settings then connection settings then USB settings after that you put default connection:Memory Card but you must first buy a 1GB micro memory card the V3i isn't strong enough to hold 2GB or more now when you connect it a message should appear saying from itunes on your phone so then itunes will open up on your PC and just start to drag and drop your songs to the phone and before you dissconnect the phone turn it OFF! or else the memory card will corrupt so make sure the phone is completly OFF! make sure you also install Motorola Phone Tools for other enjoyment in your motorola phone! Thats it
it is very easy to use i tunes in your mobile phone I'm giving all the steps require here.
1.install i tunes on you computer.2 conect your phone with your computer your phone icon will be shown in the left side of i tunes.
3.then import your music into your i tunes.4. go to file >make a new play list. a new palylist will be created-named it.5 now chose your song and drag them into this play list. 6 when you are finish drag your play list into you phone icon.7 transfer will start wait until it is finish importing the file into your phone.(look on top it will say mobile phone is updated ok to remove) .8 now disconnect your phone safely. there you are enjoy.
